On December 31, 2024, the RRC filed four proposed reliability standards with the Regulatory Commission of Alaska (RCA) under Matter No. TE8-9001: RRC-BAL-003 – Frequency Response and Bias, RRC-INT-006 – Evaluation of Interchange Transactions, RRC-VAR-001 – Voltage and Reactive Control, and RRC-VAR-002 – Generator Operations for Maintaining Network Voltage Schedules.
The Technical Advisory Council (TAC) Reliability Standards Recommendation Submittal Package developed by the TAC Working Group led by the Chief Technical Officer (CTO). This package was noticed on November 11, 2024, and was acted upon by the Board on December 2, 2024.
