Ed Jenkin

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Jenkin is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and president of the RRC. He is a registered Professional Electrical Engineer (Alaska) with over 30 years of experience working for Alaskan utilities in a variety of roles including executive leadership. He most recently served as Chief Energy Transformation Officer with Matanuska Electric Association (MEA). There he worked with a team evaluating and implementing fuel and generation opportunities, including low-carbon solutions consistent with the associations goal to reduce reliance on natural gas.

Technical Advisory Council

The CEO shall ensure that at least half of the TAC members are sufficiently independent of entities that generate, transmit, or distribute electricity on the Railbelt transmission or distribution system, excluding entities with proposed or existing projects under 100 kW installed capacity. Sufficient independence is presumed if:

1. The candidate has not been a director or officer of, or been employed by such entities for at least five years, and

2. The candidate has not materially represented or assisted for compensation such entities for at least two years.
