Board Participation

This page provides information on opportunities to engage with the RRC’s governance process, including how organizations and individuals can express interest in joining relevant constituency groups, or being considered for future Board roles.

Attend a Meeting

Members of the public can attend all Board of Directors and Board Committee. There will be public comment periods during these meetings where the public can express views on that meeting's topics. The public will be allowed to listen in on all portions of meetings, except those portions where the Board or Committee enters executive session.

Stakeholder Constituency Groups

The Railbelt Reliability Council (RRC) Board includes four stakeholder-designated seats (Seats J, K, L, and M), each with a three-year term. This page provides information on opportunities to engage with the RRC’s governance process, including how organizations and individuals can express interest in joining relevant constituency groups or being considered for future Board roles.

Seat Stakeholder Class Selection Process
J Consumer - Residential Small Commercial Appointed by a diverse group, of no more than fifteen entities representing residential and/or small commercial consumers of Railbelt electricity.
K Consumer - Large Commercial-Industrial Appointed by a diverse group, of no more than fifteen entities recognized as current/potential larger user of Railbelt electricity or representing such users.
L Consumer - Environmental Advocacy Appointed by a group of exempt organizations as defined under Internal Revenue Code 501(c) representing electricity consumers who advocate in support of the reduction of environmentally harmful greenhouse gas emission and/or other environmental concerns regarding the Railbelt electric system.
M Independent Elected by the Board following an application process.
