(CIP) Critical Infrastructure Protection

Purpose: To prevent unauthorized access to BES Cyber System Information (BCSI) by specifying information protection requirements in support of protecting BES Cyber Systems (BCS) against compromise that could result in instability, uncontrolled separations, or Cascading within the Railbelt Region BES.

Purpose: To protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Real-time Assessment and Real-time monitoring data transmitted between Control Centers.

Purpose: To mitigate cyber security risks to the reliable operation of the Bulk Electric System (BES) by implementing security controls for supply chain risk management of BES Cyber Systems (BCS).

Purpose: To identify and protect Transmission Facilities, and their associated primary control centers, that if rendered inoperable or damaged as a result of a physical attack could result in instability, uncontrolled separations, or cascading outages within the Bulk Electric System (BES).

Purpose: To improve the probability of detecting anomalous or unauthorized network activity in order to facilitate improved response and recovery from an attack.
