Documents Retention and Access Rule (ER3) and Confidential Documents and Access Rule (ER4) Review

On September 30, 2024, the RRC Board of Directors issued a Directive to initiate a review of the Documents Retention and Access Rule (ER3) and the Confidential Documents and Access Rule (ER4). In response to this directive, the Chief Administrative Officer will establish a Work Group to review these rules and other relevant organizational documents and develop recommended revisions for Board action and subsequent filing with the Regulatory Commission of Alaska.

Sanction Guidelines

The RRC, as the Electric Reliability Organization (ERO), shall determine and may levy monetary and non-monetary penalties against a Registered Entity, as owners, operators, and users of the Bulk Power System for violations of the RRC Reliability Standards.

Product Development (ER1) Modification

On December 1, 2025, the RRC Board of Directors issued a Directive to initiate modifications to Product Development (ER1), to incorporate language in compliance with 3 AAC 46.460(a)(1). In response to this directive, the Chief Executive Officer, under the oversight of RRC Governance Committee, will develop recommended revisions for Board action and subsequent filing with the Regulatory Commission of Alaska.
